حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ وأَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَا ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ ؓ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ فَإِنَّهُ يَأْتِي شَافِعًا لِأَصْحَابِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالزَّهْرَاوَيْنِ الْبَقَرَةِ وَآلِ عِمْرَانَ فَإِنَّهُمَا يَأْتِيَانِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَنَّهُمَا غَمَامَتَانِ أَوْ كَأَنَّهُمَا غَيَايَتَانِ أَوْ كَأَنَّهُمَا فِرْقَانِ مِنْ طَيْرٍ صَوَافٍّ يُحَاجَّانِ عَنْ صَاحِبِهِمَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ اقْرَءُوا سُورَةَ الْبَقَرَةِ فَإِنَّ أَخْذَهَا بَرَكَةٌ وَتَرْكَهَا حَسْرَةٌ وَلَا تَسْتَطِيعُهَا الْبَطَلَةُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Recite the Quran, for it will come as an intercessor for its companions on the Day of Resurrection. And upon you are the two bright ones, al-Baqarah and Al Imran, for they will come on the Day of Resurrection as if they were two clouds, or two canopies, or two flocks of birds in ranks, arguing on behalf of their companion on the Day of Resurrection. Recite Surah al-Baqarah, for taking it is a blessing, leaving it is a regret, and the sorcerers cannot handle it.”
