حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الضَّبِّيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ الصَّعْبَ بْنَ جَثَّامَةَ قَالَ

قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ الدَّارُ مِنْ دُورِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ نُصَبِّحُهَا بِالْغَارَةِ فَنُصِيبُ الْوِلْدَانَ تَحْتَ بُطُونِ الْخَيْلِ وَلَا نَشْعُرُ؟ فَقَالَ «إِنَهُمْ مِنْهُمْ»

✧ We said: “O Messenger of Allah, a dwelling among the dwellings of the polytheists—we attack it at dawn and we may strike the children under the bellies of the horses without realizing it?” He said, “They are from them.”
