حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ السِّمْسَارُ ثنا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ الصَّعْبِ بْنِ جَثَّامَةَ قَالَ

أَهْدَيْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حِمَارَ وَحْشٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَرَدَّهُ عَلَيَّ فَلَمَّا رَأَى الَّذِي فِي وَجْهِي قَالَ «لَيْسَ بِنَا رَدٌّ عَلَيْكَ وَلَكِنَّا حُرُمٌ»

✧ I gifted a wild donkey to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was in the state of iḥrām, and he returned it to me. When he saw what was in my face, he said: "It is not that we reject it against you, but we are in the state of iḥrām."
