al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 7329

✧ Safwan b. Umayyah b. Khalaf al-Jumahi, known as Abu Wahb, came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on the day of the conquest of Mecca. He delayed him for four months and witnessed the Battle of Hunayn while he was still a polytheist. Then he embraced Islam after that and was martyred in the killing of Uthman.

حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ رَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الطَّاعُونُ وَالنُّفَسَاءُ وَالْغَرَقُ شَهَادَةٌ»
