✧ David, the prophet of God ﷺ, when he finished his prayer, would say, "O God, set right for me my religion, which You have made the protection of my affair; and set right for me my worldly life, in which You have placed my livelihood. O God, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your wrath, and I seek refuge in Your pardon from Your punishment, and I seek refuge in You from You. None can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and no possessor of fortune can avail against You his fortune." Ka'b al-Ahbar said: Suhayb informed me that the Messenger of God ﷺ used to conclude his prayer with this supplication.
