أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ فُسْتُقَةُ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ عَنِ الْهَيْثَمِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ قَالَ

«هَلَكَ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ بْنُ حَرْبٍ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ لِتِسْعِ سِنِينَ مَضَيْنَ مِنْ إِمَارَةِ عُثْمَانَ ؓ وَكَانَ كَفَّ بَصَرَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حَرْبٍ»

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Muḥammad b. ʿAlī Fustuqah
  2. Dāwud b. Rushayd
  3. al-Haytham b. ʿAdī
  4. Halak

✧ Abu Sufyan b. Harb died, may Allah have mercy on him, nine years into the rule of 'Uthman ؓ, and Abu Sufyan b. Harb had lost his sight.
