حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحُلْوَانِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْلَى عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الشَّرِيدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْجَارُ أَحَقُّ بِسَقَبِهِ» قُلْتُ لِعُمَرَ مَا السَّقَبُ؟ قَالَ الْجِوَارُ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The neighbor has more right to what is adjacent to him.' I said to 'Umar, 'What is al-saqab?' He said, 'Neighborliness.'
