حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُؤْمِنِ الْمُقْرِئُ وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ قَالَا ثنا قَزَعَةُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ ثنا حُمَيْدٌ الْأَعْرَجُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا حَضَرْتُمْ مَوْتَاكُمْ فَأَغْمِضُوا الْبَصَرَ فَإِنَّ الْبَصَرَ يَتْبَعُ الرُّوحَ وَقُولُوا خَيْرًا فَإِنَّهُ يُؤَمَّنُ عَلَى مَا قَالَ أَهْلُ الْبَيْتِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “When you attend your dying ones, close their eyes, for the sight follows the soul, and say good, for it is affirmed upon what the family says.”
