✧ Abu al-Ash'ath al-San'ani narrates from Shaddad

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ أنا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ وَخَالِدٌ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَشْعَثِ الصَّنْعَانِيِّ عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ قَالَ

كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ فَمَرَّ بِرَجُلٍ يَحْتَجِمُ فِي ثَمَانِيَ عَشْرَةَ أَوْ سَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ فِي رَمَضَانَ فَقَالَ «أَفْطَرَ الْحَاجِمُ وَالْمَحْجُومُ»

✧ I was with the Messenger of God ﷺ in the year of the conquest, and he passed by a man being cupped on the eighteenth or seventeenth of Ramadan, and he said: “The cupper and the cupped have broken their fast.”
