وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ ؓ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ بَنُو غِفَارٍ وَأَسْلَمُ كَانُوا كَكَثِيرٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ فِتْنَةً يَقُولُونَ لَوْ كَانَ خَيْرًا مَا جَعَلَهُمُ اللهُ أَوَّلَ النَّاسِ فِيهِ وَإِنَّهَا غِفَارٌ غَفَرَ اللهُ لَهَا وَأَسْلَمُ سَالَمَهَا اللهُ
Translation
Chain of narrators
- Samurah b. Jundub
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say: Banu Ghifar and Aslam were a great trial for many people, who said, ‘If there were any good in them, Allah would not have made them the first to accept it.’ But Ghifar—may Allah forgive it—and Aslam—may Allah grant it peace.
