وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارَ أَنْ يَكُونُوا فِي مُقَدَّمِ الصُّفُوفِ وَيَقُولُ «هُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِالصَّلَاةِ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ وَالسُّفَهَاءِ وَيَأْتَمُّ بِهِمْ مَنْ وَرَاءَهُمْ وَلَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ يَكُونَ الْأَعْرَابُ قُدَّامَهُمْ لَا يَدْرُونَ كَيْفَ الصَّلَاةُ»
Translation
Chain of narrators
- Samurah b. Jundub
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ used to order the Emigrants and the Helpers to be in the front rows, and he would say: “They are more knowledgeable about the prayer than the Bedouins and the foolish. Those behind them follow them, and I do not like the Bedouins to be in front of them, not knowing how to pray.”
