حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْهُذَلِيِّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَةِ اللِّسَانُ» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا صَدَقَةُ اللِّسَانِ؟ قَالَ «الشَّفَاعَةُ يُفَكُّ بِهَا الْأَسِيرُ وَيُحْقَنُ بِهَا الدَّمُ وَتَجُرُّ بِهَا الْمَعْرُوفَ وَالْإِحْسَانَ إِلَى أَخِيكَ وَتَدْفَعُ عَنْهُ الْكَرِيهَةَ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “The best charity is the tongue.” It was said: O Messenger of God, what is the charity of the tongue? He said: “Intercession by which a captive is freed, blood is spared, you bring kindness and goodness to your brother, and you ward off harm from him.”
