حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ السِّمْسَارُ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لِلشَّيْطَانِ كُحْلًا وَلَعُوقًا فَإِذَا كَحَّلَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ كُحْلِهِ نَامَتْ عَيْنَاهُ عَنِ الذِّكْرِ وَإِذَا لَعَّقَهُ مِنْ لَعُوقِهِ ذَرَبَ لِسَانُهُ بِالشَّرِّ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The Shayṭān has kohl and a lick. When he applies kohl to a person from his kohl, his eyes sleep away from remembrance; and when he makes him lick from his lick, his tongue becomes sharp with evil.”
