حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا أَبِي ثنا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ عُمَيْلَةَ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تُسَمِّيَنَّ غُلَامَكَ يَسَارًا وَلَا رَبَاحًا وَلَا نَجِيحًا وَلَا أَفْلَحَ فَإِنَّكَ تَقُولُ أَثَمَّ هُوَ؟ فَلَا يَكُونُ فَيُقَالُ لَا إِنَّمَا هُوَ أَرْبَعٌ وَلَا تَزِيدُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Do not name your boy Yasar, nor Rabah, nor Najih, nor Aflah, for you will say, 'Is he there?' and he will not be, so it will be said, 'No.' They are only four, so do not add to them.”
