حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ قَبِيصَةَ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ
سَأَلَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ فَقَطَعَ عَلَيْهِ خُطْبَتَهُ فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيْهِ وَهُوَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا تَقُولُ فِي الضِّبَابِ؟ قَالَ «مُسِخَتْ أُمَّةٌ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ اللهُ أَعْلَمُ فِي أَيِّ الدَّوَابِّ مُسِخَتْ»

✧ A bedouin asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was delivering a sermon, interrupting his sermon. He turned to him, and he was to his right, and said, “O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about lizards?” He said, “A community of the Children of Israel was transformed. Allah knows best into which animals it was transformed.”
