حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ أَوْ فُلَانِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ الْفَزَارِيِّ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّمَا هَذِهِ الْمَسَائِلُ كَدٌّ يَكُدُّ بِهَا الرَّجُلُ وَجْهَهُ فَمَنْ شَاءَ أَبْقَى عَلَى وَجْهِهِ وَمَنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَ إِلَّا أَنَّ يَسْأَلَ الرَّجُلُ ذَا سُلْطَانٍ أَوْ فِي أَمْرٍ لَا بُدَّ مِنْهُ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ he said: “These askings are only a scratching with which a man scrapes his face. So whoever wishes may keep his face, and whoever wishes may leave it, except that a man asks a man of authority or in a matter from which there is no alternative.”
