حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْقُرَشِيُّ ثنا مَالِكُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ قَالَ صَعِدْتُ إِلَى ابْنِ أَبِي مَحْذُورَةَ فَوْقَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ بَعْدَمَا أَذَّنَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ
أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ أَذَانِ أَبِيكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ فَقَالَ كَانَ يَبْدَأُ فَيُكَبِّرُ فَيَقُولُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ حَيَّ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ حَيَّ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ فَيَقُولُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ إِلَى آخِرِ الْأَذَانِ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ

✧ Tell me about your father's call to prayer for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: He would begin and say the takbir, then say: I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, Hasten to the prayer, Hasten to the prayer, once each. Then he would return, saying: I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah, I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, until he came to the end of the call to prayer: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, there is no deity except Allah.
