✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ and I heard from his mouth to my ear. We carried wheat from al-Balqa' to Madinah and sold it, and we wanted to buy dates of Madinah, but they prevented us. So we came to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him. The Prophet ﷺ said to those who prevented us: "Does it not suffice you that this food is cheap while these dates they are carrying are expensive? Leave them so they may carry it." Simuwayh was from al-Balqa', a Christian deacon who embraced Islam, and his Islam became good. He lived one hundred and twenty years.
