حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ خَتَنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْنٍ الْوَاسِطِيِّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ ثنا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ
جَاءَ سُلَيْكٌ الْغَطَفَانِيُّ وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ يَتَجَوَّزُ فِيهِمَا وَقَالَ «إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ فَلْيُصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ يَتَجَوَّزُ فِيهِمَا»

✧ Sulayk al-Ghatafani came while the Prophet ﷺ was delivering the sermon. The Prophet ﷺ ordered him to pray two rak'ahs, keeping them brief, and he said: "When one of you comes while the imam is delivering the sermon, let him pray two rak'ahs and keep them brief."
