حَدَّثَنَا مَسْعَدَةُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْعَطَّارُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ التَّيْمِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ قَالَ كُنْتُ مَعَ عَمِّي عِيسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَدَخَلَ السَّائِبُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ فَبَعَثَنِي إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ
اذْهَبْ إِلَى ذَلِكَ الشَّيْخِ فَقُلْ لَهُ يَقُولُ لَكَ عَمِّي عِيسَى بْنُ طَلْحَةَ هَلْ رَأَيْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ؟ فَذَهَبْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ «نَعَمْ قَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ ﷺ وَدَخَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ أَنَا وَغِلْمَةٌ مَعِي فَوَجَدْنَاهُ يَأْكُلُ تَمْرًا فِي قِنِاعٍ وَمَعَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَبَضَ لَنَا مِنْ ذَلِكَ التَّمْرِ قَبْضَةً وَمَسَحَ عَلَى رُءُوسِنَا»
Translation

✧ Go to that old man and say to him: My uncle Isa b. Talhah says to you: Did you see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? So I went to him and he said, “Yes, I saw him ﷺ, and I entered upon him with some boys who were with me. We found him eating dates from a basket, and with him were some people from his companions. He took a handful of those dates for us and wiped our heads.”
