حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ ؓ لَمْ يَتَّخِذَا قَاضِيًا وَأَوَّلُ مَنِ اسْتَقْضَى عُمَرُ ؓ قَالَ لَهُ رُدَّ عَنِّي النَّاسَ فِي الدِّرْهَمِ وَالدِّرْهَمَيْنِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Abu Bakr ؓ did not appoint a judge, and the first to appoint a judge was Umar ؓ. He said to him: "Return the people to me [even] in the matter of a dirham or two dirhams."
