حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ثنا أَبُو تُمَيْلَةَ يَحْيَى بْنُ وَاضِحٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ خَلَّادِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ جَاءَ جِبْرِيلُ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ كُنْ عَجَّاجًا ثَجَّاجًا يَعْنِي بِالْعَجِّ التَّلْبِيَةَ وَالثَّجِّ الدِّمَاءَ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Jibril ﷺ came and said: “O Muhammad, be one who raises his voice with the talbiyah and who sheds sacrificial blood,” meaning by al-ʿajj the talbiyah and by al-thajj the blood.
