✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: Gabriel ﷺ came to me and said: Command your companions to raise their voices with the ihlaal, for it is among the rites of Hajj. Sufyan said: Ibn Jurayj had concealed a hadith from me, and when 'Abd Allah b. Abi Bakr came to us, I did not inform him. When he departed to Madinah, I narrated it to him, and he said to me, "O one-eyed one, you hide hadiths from us; when their people have gone away, you inform us of them. I will not narrate it from you." So he wrote to 'Abd Allah b. Abi Bakr, and 'Abd Allah b. Abi Bakr wrote back to him with it. Ibn Jurayj used to narrate it in his books: 'Abd Allah b. Abi Bakr wrote to me.
