حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَاجِيَةَ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ عَنْ مُوسَى الثَّقَفِيِّ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ

عَنْ سَبْرَةَ بْنِ أَبِي فَاكِهٍ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ قَعَدَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ بِأَطْرُقِهِ كُلِّهَا فَقَعَدَ لَهُ بِطَرِيقِ الْإِسْلَامِ فَقَالَ تُسْلِمُ وَتَدَعُ دِينَكَ وَدِينَ آبَائِكَ؟ ثُمَّ قَعَدَ لَهُ بِطَرِيقِ الْهِجْرَةِ فَقَالَ تُهَاجِرُ وَتَدَعُ مَوْلِدَكَ فَتَكُونُ كَالْفَرَسِ فِي طِوَلِهِ؟ ثُمَّ قَعَدَ لَهُ بِطَرِيقِ الْجِهَادِ فَقَالَ تُجَاهِدُ؟ فَتُقْتَلُ فَتُزَوَّجُ امْرَأَتُكَ وَيُقَّسَمُ مَالُكَ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «فَمَنْ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ ضَمِنَ اللهُ لَهُ الْجَنَّةَ»

Translation

✧ From Sabrah b. Abī Fākih, who was one of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: “Satan sits in wait for the son of Adam on all his paths. He sits for him on the path of Islam and says: ‘Will you submit and leave your religion and the religion of your forefathers?’ Then he sits for him on the path of emigration and says: ‘Will you emigrate and leave your birthplace, so that you will be like a horse on a long tether?’ Then he sits for him on the path of jihad and says: ‘Will you fight, so that you will be killed, your wife will be remarried, and your wealth will be divided?’ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: ‘Whoever does that, God has guaranteed him Paradise.’”
