حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْوُحَاظِيُّ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ ذِي غَصْوَانَ عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ الْأَلْهَانِيِّ فَخِذٌ مِنَ الْأَشْعَرِيِينَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَوْ حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَهُ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللهَ جَعَلَ هَذَا الْحَيَّ مِنْ لَخْمٍ وَجُذَامٍ مَغُوثَةً بِالشَّامِ بِالظَّهْرِ وَالضَّرْعِ كَمَا جَعَلَ يُوسُفَ بِمِصْرَ مَغُوثَةً لِأَهْلِهَا»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, or someone who heard him told me, say: "Allah has made this tribe of Lakhm and Judham a source of relief in Syria through their camels and livestock, just as He made Joseph a source of relief for the people of Egypt."
