حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَابَلُتِّيُّ ثنا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ بُشَيْرِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ حَدَّثَنِي سُوَيْدُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ قَالَ
«خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَامَ خَيْبَرَ فَلَمَّا كَانَ بِالصَّهْبَاءِ وَصَلَّيْنَا الْعَصْرَ دَعَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِأَزْوَادِ الْقَوْمِ فَجَاءُوا بِسَوِيقٍ فَأَكَلُوا وَشَرِبُوا ثُمَّ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى صَلَاةِ الْمَغْرِبِ فَمَضْمَضَ وَمَضْمَضَ الْقَوْمُ» وَصَلُّوا وَلَمْ يَزِيدُوا عَلَى ذَلِكَ

✧ Suwayd b. Muqarrin al-Muzani reported: “We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the year of Khaybar. When we were at al-Sahba’ and had prayed Asr, the Prophet ﷺ called for the people’s provisions. They brought sawiq, and they ate and drank. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood for Maghrib prayer, rinsed his mouth with water, and the people rinsed their mouths, then they prayed, and they did not add anything beyond that.”
