حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ ثنا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ لِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ مَا اسْمُكَ؟ قَالَ قُلْتُ شُعْبَةُ فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو شُعْبَةَ عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ مُقَرِّنٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ قَالَ وَرَأَى رَجُلًا لَطَمَ غُلَامًا لَهُ فَقَالَ «أَمَا عَلِمْتَ
أَنَّ الصُّورَةَ مُحَرَّمَةٌ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي وَأَنَا سَابِعُ سَبْعَةِ إِخْوَةٍ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مَا لَنَا إِلَّا خَادِمٌ فَلَطَمَهُ أَحَدُنَا فَأَمَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نَعْتِقَهُ»

✧ Safina reported: The image was forbidden. I saw myself as the seventh of seven brothers during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and we had no servant except one servant. One of us slapped him, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered us to set him free.”
