حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا ابْنُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيِّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ الرَّازِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ الثَّقَفِيِّ قَالَ

قَدِمَ وَفْدُنَا مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَسْلَمُوا فِي النِّصْفِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ «فَأَمَرَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَصَامُوا مَعَهُ مَا اسْتَقْبَلَهُمْ وَلَمْ يَأْمُرْهُمْ بِقَضَاءِ مَا فَاتَهُمْ»

✧ Our delegation from Thaqif came to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and they accepted Islam in the middle of Ramadan. The Messenger of God ﷺ ordered them, and they fasted with him for what they faced, but he did not order them to make up what they had missed.
