حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الضَّبِّيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ عَنْ سَالِمٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ؓ عَلَى سَطْحٍ فِي رَمَضَانَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَأَتَاهُ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَطْعَمُ يَا خَلِيفَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ؟ فَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ حَتَّى فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ مَرَّتَيْنِ فَلَمَّا كَانَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ قَالَ «ائْتِنِي بِطَعَامِكَ» فَطَعِمَ وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ وَأُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ

✧ He was with Abu Bakr ؓ on a rooftop in Ramadan while he was praying. He came to him and said, 'Will you not eat, O Caliph of the Messenger of God?' He gestured with his hand, and he did that twice. When it was the third time, he said, 'Bring me your food.' He ate, prayed two rak'ahs, then entered the mosque and the prayer was established.
