حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ يَأْكُلُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِشِمَالِهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «كُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ» قَالَ لَا أَسْتَطِيعُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَا اسْتَطَعْتَ» قَالَ فَمَا رَفَعَهَا بَعْدُ إِلَى فِيهِ

✧ A man was eating in the presence of the Messenger of God ﷺ with his left hand. The Messenger of God ﷺ said to him: 'Eat with your right hand.' He said: 'I cannot.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'May you never be able.' He said: He never raised it to his mouth after that.
