حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ الْعَمِّيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ
عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ حَدَّثَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ بِنْتُ سِيرِينَ عَنِ الرَّبَابِ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَفْطَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى تَمْرٍ إِنْ وَجَدَ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَعَلَى الْمَاءِ فَإِنَّ الْمَاءَ طَهُورٌ»

✧ From ʿĀṣim al-Aḥwal: Ḥafṣa bt. Sīrīn narrated to me, from al-Rabāb, from Salmān b. ʿĀmir al-Ḍabbī, who said: The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "When one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with dates if he finds them; if he does not find any, then with water, for water is purifying."
