حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ الدَّارِسِيُّ ثنا مَسْلَمَةُ بْنُ الصَّلْتِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْأَزْدِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي رَاشِدٍ قَالَ

سَأَلْتُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَارِسِيَّ عَنِ التَّشَهُّدِ فَقَالَ أُعَلِّمُكُمْ كَمَا عَلَّمَنِيهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَّمَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ التَّشَهُّدَ حَرْفًا حَرْفًا «التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللهِ الصَّالِحِينَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ»

✧ I asked Salmān al-Fārisī about the tashahhud. He said: “I will teach you as the Messenger of God ﷺ taught me. The Messenger of God ﷺ taught me the tashahhud word by word: ‘Greetings are for God, and prayers and good things. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and God's mercy and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon God's righteous servants. I bear witness that there is no god but God alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muḥammad is His servant and His messenger.’”
