حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ ثنا سَالِمُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَعْدًا أَبَا عُثْمَانَ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيُّ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ الْفَارِسِيِّ ؓ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ إِذَا لَقِيَ أَخَاهُ الْمُسْلِمَ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِهِ تَحَاتَّتْ عَنْهُمَا ذُنُوبُهُمَا كَمَا تَتَحَاتُ الْوَرَقُ مِنَ الشَّجَرَةِ الْيَابِسَةِ فِي يَوْمِ رِيحٍ عَاصِفٍ وَإِلَّا غُفِرَ لَهُمَا وَلَوْ كَانَتْ ذُنُوبُهُمَا مِثْلَ زَبَدِ الْبَحْرِ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said: “When a Muslim meets his Muslim brother and takes his hand, their sins fall away from them just as leaves fall from a dry tree on a day of violent wind. Otherwise, they are both forgiven, even if their sins were like the foam of the sea.”
