حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَطَّارُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ثنا شُجَاعُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ قَابُوسِ بْنِ أَبِي ظَبْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ ؓ قَالَ قَالَ
لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا سَلْمَانُ لَا تَبْغَضْنِي فَتُفَارِقَ دِينَكَ» قُلْتُ وَكَيْفَ أَبْغَضُكَ وَبِكَ هَدَانِي اللهُ؟ قَالَ «لَا تَبْغَضِ الْعَرَبَ فَتَبْغَضَنِي»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said to me, "O Salman, do not hate me, for then you would depart from your religion." I said, "How could I hate you when through you God has guided me?" He said, "Do not hate the Arabs, for then you would hate me."
