حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا خَلَّادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّمَّارُ الْبَصْرِيُّ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ قَالَا ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ شَابُورَ عَنْ شَقِيقِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ
دَخَلْنَا عَلَى سَلْمَانَ فَقَرَّبَ إِلَيْنَا مَا كَانَ فِي الْبَيْتِ وَقَالَ «لَوْلَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَانَا أَوْ لَوْلَا نُهِينَا عَنْ أَنْ يَتَكَلَّفَ الرَّجُلُ لِأَخِيهِ لَتَكَلَّفْتُ لَكُمْ»

✧ We entered upon Salman, and he brought to us whatever was in the house and said, "Were it not that the Messenger of God ﷺ forbade us—or were we not forbidden—that a man should put himself to trouble for his brother, I would have put myself to trouble for you."
