حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ كَرَامَةَ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا خَارِجَةُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ
أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِشَرَابٍ وَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ غُلَامٌ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ الْأَشْيَاخُ فَشَرِبَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِلْغُلَامِ «أُعْطِي الْأَشْيَاخَ؟» فَقَالَ الْغُلَامُ مَا كُنْتُ لِأُوثِرَ بِسُؤْرِكَ أَوْ بِفَضْلِكَ عَلَيَّ أَحَدًا فَأَعْطَاهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَشَرِبَ وَتَرَكَ الْأَشْيَاخَ

✧ A drink was brought to the Prophet ﷺ, with a boy on his right and the elders on his left. The Prophet ﷺ drank, then said to the boy, "Shall I give it to the elders?" The boy said, "I would not prefer anyone over you for your leftover, or for the blessing I get from you." So the Prophet ﷺ gave it to him, and he drank, and he left the elders.
