حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَا ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا أَبُو حَازِمٍ قَالَ
سَأَلُوا سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ مِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ مِنْبَرُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «وَمَا بَقِيَ مِنَ النَّاسِ أَحَدٌ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي هُوَ مِنْ أَثْلِ الْغَابَةِ عَمِلَهُ لَهُ فُلَانٌ مَوْلَى فُلَانَةَ وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ صَعَدَ عَلَيْهِ اسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ فَكَبَّرَ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ ثُمَّ نَزَلَ الْقَهْقَرَى فَسَجَدَ ثُمَّ صَعَدَ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ ثُمَّ نَزَلَ الْقَهْقَرَى ثُمَّ سَجَدَ»

✧ They asked Sahl b. Saʿd, “From what wood was the pulpit of the Messenger of God ﷺ made?” He said, “There is no one left among the people who knows more about it than I. It was made from the tamarisk of al-Ghābah. So-and-so, the freedman of so-and-so, made it for him. I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ when he climbed onto it: he faced the qiblah and said the takbīr, then recited, then bowed, then descended backwards and prostrated, then climbed up, recited, bowed, descended backwards, then prostrated.”
