حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّافِعِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ
كُنَّا نَقُولُ الْمِنْبَرُ عَلَى تُرْعَةٍ مِنْ تُرَعِ الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ سَهْلٌ «هَلْ تَدْرُونَ مَا التُّرْعَةُ؟ هُوَ الْبَابُ»
Translation

✧ We used to say, “The pulpit is at one of the gates of Paradise.” Sahl said, “Do you know what a tur‘ah is? It is the gate.”
