حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ رَاهَوَيْهِ ثنا عَبْدُ الْمُهَيْمِنِ بْنُ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ جَدِّي قَالَ
«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَبْنِيَ الْمَسْجِدَ يُصَلِّي إِلَى خَشَبَةٍ فَلَمَّا بَنَى الْمَسْجِدَ بَنَى لَهُ مِحْرَابٌ فَتَقَدَّمَ إِلَيْهِ فَحَنَّتِ الْخَشَبَةُ حَنِينَ الْبَعِيرِ فَوَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَدَهُ عَلَيْهَا فَسَكَنَتْ»
Translation

✧ Before he built the mosque, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray facing a piece of wood. When he built the mosque, he built a mihrab for him, and he moved forward to it. Then the piece of wood moaned like the moaning of a camel, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ placed his hand on it, and it became still.
