حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ سَمِعَ سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ

أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ الْمُتَلَاعِنَيْنِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فُرِّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَذَبْتُ عَلَيْهَا إِنْ أَمْسَكْتُهَا

Translation

Chain of narrators

  3. Sufyān b. ʿUyaynah
  4. al-Zuhrī
  5. Sahl b. Saʿd

✧ He witnessed the two parties of li‘ān during the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ when they were separated. The man said, “O Messenger of God, I have lied against her if I keep her.”
