حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ السَّمْتِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نُوحِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ السَّمْتِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ جَدِّي قَالَ قَالَ

لِي سُهَيْلُ بْنُ صَخْرٍ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ «إِنِّي إِذَا مَلَكْتُ ثَمَنَ عَبْدٍ فَأَشْتَرِي بِهِ عَبْدًا فَإِنَّ الْجُدُودَ فِي نَوَاصِي الرِّجَالِ»

✧ Suhayl b. Sakhr said, and he had companionship (with the Prophet): "Indeed, when I possess the price of a slave and buy a slave with it, for the forelocks of men are (a place of) fortunes."
