حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمُ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْخَزَّازُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَعْدٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ قَالَ

«قَدَّمْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ تَمْرًا يَأْكُلُونَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ ويَقْرِنُونَ فَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْقِرَانِ»

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥaḍramī

✧ I presented to the Messenger of God ﷺ dates, and they were eating in front of him, pairing them up. The Messenger of God ﷺ forbade pairing dates.
