حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ وَزَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ قَالَ

جَمَعَ الْقُرْآنَ سِتَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ كُلُّهُمْ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ وَأَبُو زَيْدٍ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ

Translation

  4. Dāwud b. Abū Hind And ʾIsmāʿīl b. Abū Khālid Wazakariyyā b. Abū Zāʾidah

✧ Six of the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ collected the Qur'an, all of them from the Ansar: Ubayy b. Kaʿb, Muʿādh b. Jabal, Zayd b. Thābit, Abū Zayd, and Saʿd b. ʿUbayd.
