حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ الْعَمِّيُّ ثنا وُهَيْبٌ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ وَالنُّعْمَانِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ وَمَالِكٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ حَرَامِ بْنِ مُحَيِّصَةَ

«أَنَّ نَاقَةً لِلْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ دَخَلَتْ حَائِطَ الْقَوْمِ فَأَفْسَدَتْ زَرْعَهُمْ فَقَضَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْمَوَاشِي حِفْظَ مَوَاشِيهِمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَعَلَى أَهْلِ الزَّرْعِ حِفْظَ زَرْعِهِمْ بِالنَّهَارِ»

✧ “A she-camel belonging to al-Barāʾ b. ʿĀzib entered the people’s walled garden and damaged their crops, so the Messenger of God ﷺ ruled that livestock owners are responsible for guarding their livestock by night, and crop owners are responsible for guarding their crops by day.”
