حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ زِيَادَ بْنَ سَعْدِ بْنِ ضُمَيْرَةَ السُّلَمِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ

حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَجَدِّي وَكَانَا قَدْ شَهِدَا حُنَيْنًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَا صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ الظُّهْرَ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ إِلَى ظِلِّ الشَّجَرَةِ فَقَامَ الْأَقْرَعُ بْنُ حَابِسٍ وَعُيَيْنَةُ بْنُ بَدْرٍ فَطَلَبَ عُيَيْنَةُ بْنُ حِصْنٍ بِدَمِ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ عَامِرِ بْنِ الْأَحْبَطِ وَهُوَ يَوْمَئِذٍ سَيِّدُ قَيْسٍ وَالْأَقْرَعُ بْنُ حَابِسٍ يَدْفَعُ عَنْ مُحَلِّمِ بْنِ جَثَّامَةَ لِخِنْدِفٍ فَاخْتَصَمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَمِعْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «تَأْخُذُونَ الدِّيَةَ خَمْسِينَ فِي سَفَرِنَا هَذَا وَخَمْسِينَ إِذَا رَجَعْنَا» فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ الدَّوْسِيُّ

✧ My father and grandfather narrated to me, and they had both witnessed Hunayn with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They said: The Messenger of Allah led us in Zuhr prayer, then sat in the shade of a tree. Al-Aqra' b. Habis and 'Uyaynah b. Badr stood up. 'Uyaynah b. Hisn demanded the blood of the Ashja'i, 'Amir b. al-Ahbat, who was that day the chief of Qays, while al-Aqra' b. Habis defended Muhallim b. Jaththamah for Khindif. They disputed before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and we heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "You will take the blood-money: fifty in this journey of ours and fifty when we return." Then he mentioned the like of the hadith of 'Abd al-Rahman b. Abi al-Zinad. Sa'd b. Abi Dhubab al-Dawsi.
