حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ أَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ؓ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَمَّنِي جِبْرِيلُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ حِينَ زَاغَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَصَلَّى الْعَصْرَ حِينَ كَانَتْ قَامَةً وَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ حِينَ غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ حِينَ غَابَ الشَّفَقُ وَصَلَّى الصُّبْحَ حِينَ طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ ثُمَّ أَمَّنِي فِي الْيَوْمِ الثَّانِي فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ وَفَيْءُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مِثْلُهُ وَصَلَّى الْعَصْرَ وَالْفَيْءُ قَامَتَانِ وَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ سَاعَةَ غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ إِلَى ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ الْأَوَّلِ وَصَلَّى الصُّبْحَ حِينَ كَادَتِ الشَّمْسُ تَطْلُعُ» ثُمَّ قَالَ «الصَّلَاةُ فِيمَا بَيْنَ هَذَيْنِ الْوَقْتَيْنِ»

✧ that he heard Abu Sa'id al-Khudri ؓ say: The Messenger of God ﷺ said, "Gabriel led me in prayer. He prayed Zuhr when the sun began to decline, prayed Asr when a thing's shadow was equal to its height, prayed Maghrib when the sun set, prayed Isha when the twilight disappeared, and prayed Subh when dawn broke. Then he led me on the second day: he prayed Zuhr when the shadow of everything was equal to it, prayed Asr when the shadow was twice its height, prayed Maghrib at the moment the sun set, prayed Isha until the first third of the night, and prayed Subh when the sun was about to rise." Then he said, "Prayer is between these two times."
