حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أُمِّ سَعْدِ بِنْتِ سَعْدِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ أَنَّهَا دَخَلَتْ عَلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ ؓ فَأَلْقَى لَهَا ثَوْبَهُ حَتَّى جَلَسَتْ عَلَيْهِ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فَقَالَ

«يَا خَلِيفَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ مَنْ هَذِهِ؟» فَقَالَ «هَذِهِ بِنْتُ مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنِّي وَمِنْكَ» قَالَ «وَمَنْ خَيْرٌ مِنِّي وَمِنْكَ إِلَّا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ» قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ «رَجُلٌ قُبِضَ عَلَى عَهْدِهِ ﷺ تَبَوَّأَ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَبَقِيتُ أَنَا وَأَنْتَ»

✧ “O Caliph of the Messenger of Allah, who is this?” He said: “This is the daughter of one who is better than me and you.” He said: “And who is better than me and you except the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?” Abū Bakr said: “A man who died during the Prophet’s ﷺ lifetime and took his seat in Paradise, while I and you remain.”
