حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ الْبَجَلِيُّ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ عَنِ الْمَاجِشُونِ قَالَ قَالَ سَعْدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ §ثَلَاثٌ أَنَا عَمَّا سِوَاهُنَّ ضَعِيفٌ مَا
سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ شَيْئًا إِلَّا عَلِمْتُ أَنَّهُ حَقٌّ وَلَا صَلَّيْتُ صَلَاةً فَحَدَّثْتُ نَفْسِي بِغَيْرِهَا حَتَّى أنْفَتِلَ عَنْهَا وَلَا تَبِعْتُ جِنَازَةً فَحَدَّثْتُ نَفْسِي بِغَيْرِ مَا إِيَّاهُ قَائِلَةٌ ومَقُولٌ لَهَا

✧ I never heard anything from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ except that I knew it was true, and I never performed a prayer without talking to myself about other things until I finished it, and I never followed a funeral procession without talking to myself about other than what the deceased was saying and what was being said to him.
