✧ Her grandfather al-Zari' set out to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and took with him a son of his, or a son of his sister, who was insane. My grandfather said: When we arrived in Madinah to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I said: O Messenger of Allah, I have with me a son of mine, or a son of my sister, who is insane; I have brought him to you so that you may supplicate to Allah, Mighty and Majestic, for him. He said: 'Bring him to me.' So I went with him to the Prophet while he was still on the riding camel, and I untied him, removed his travel clothes, and dressed him in two fine garments. I took him by the hand until I brought him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: 'Bring him close to me, and place his back facing me.' He then took hold of the gathers of his garment from its top and bottom and began striking his back until I saw the whiteness of his armpits, while saying: 'Come out, enemy of Allah! Come out, enemy of Allah!' Then he began looking with the gaze of a healthy person, not his previous gaze. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then seated him in front of him, called for water, wiped his face, and supplicated for him. After the supplication of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, there was none in the delegation who surpassed him.
