حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْقَطَّانُ ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ أُنَيْسَةَ بِنْتِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ عَنْ أَبِيهَا قَالَ
أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالشَّجَرَاتِ فَقُمَّ مَا تَحْتَهَا وَرُشَّ ثُمَّ خَطَبَنَا فَوَاللهِ مَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ يَكُونُ إِلَى أَنْ تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ إِلَّا وَقَدْ أَخْبَرَنَا بِهِ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ مَنْ أَوْلَى بِكُمْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ؟» قُلْنَا اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَوْلَى بِنَا مِنْ أَنْفُسِنَا قَالَ «فَمَنْ كُنْتُ مَوْلَاهُ فَهَذَا مَوْلَاهُ» يَعْنِي عَلِيًّا ؓ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِيَدِهِ فَكَشَطَهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ «اللهُمَّ وَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُ وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to plant trees, so we stood up what was under them and sprinkled them with water. Then he addressed us and said, "By Allah, there is nothing that will happen until the Hour comes, but we have been informed about it on that day." Then he said, "O people, who is more worthy of you than yourselves?" We said, "Allah and His Messenger are more worthy of us than ourselves." He said, "So whoever I am his guardian, 'Ali is his guardian." Then he took his hand and said, "O Allah, be a protector to those who protect him and be an enemy to those who show enmity to him."
